All free giveaways must lead to somewhere and if it does it will need a call to action. Therefore in a video you need to ask people to click on a link to your website or tell them what to do. In a free PDF you will need to include links and also tell people what to do. The main problem people encounter with free giveaways is uploading a PDF to a server and getting the HTML link right.

Whatever it is you must map out a plan of where your visitors are expected to travel and also why they are expected to go down this path. It is essentially a funnel to squeeze your visitors through. It is not always a sales funnel, or an obvious one, but if done right, everything leads to a sale in the end.
#3. Share a real secret
By now the Internet has experienced a major case of information overload and to make your special report special, you will need to share a secret or new tip that no one else has heard of. It could even be an experience that you have had or even a great idea that you have come up with yourself. If you can not think of anything you can do extensive research for your product, mention as many tips as you can, and hopefully the reader will learn something new out of thathen you become experienced in your niche, coming up with new concepts and ideas will not be a problem for you.
You can no longer get away with boring regurgitated information as most of us have seen it all by now.

Even if you are new to the Internet marketing game, you would have received someone’s free giveaway report. When the free giveaway is simply a piece of junk it is a disappointment and it makes the website visitor angry. In fact if you have tempted them with the free report after signing up to your list, they may unsubscribe as soon as possible if you give them a worthless report.

This is something that most Webmasters neglect to do when implementing viral marketing strategies. They give away a report or a free video and do not lead the visitors anywhere else after that. What if the person accepted your first giveaway and was not so impressed by it, however they were still curious to see the next freebie you had already promised. This means you have a second chance before losing this person forever. You can either make them aware that they will receive something else or use an exit pop to stop them from leaving your page.
#6. Put social media buttons into your report
You can either gather new friends to follow you or even tweet about your free giveaway. Think about it? What is stopping you from putting a link to your Facebook page, your Youtube video channel, or anything else you choose to. It not like adding Social media buttons to your website but it is still relatively easy.

It is not hard to make a free giveaway PDF file look professional. You can simply start I making a word document and formatting it with headings, subtitles, and the occasional picture or screenshot. After you have created your fantastic looking Microsoft word document you simply have to now save it as a PDF file. Do not get too fancy because it is the information that really counts in the end.

Get off your bum and get your viral marketing strategies into gear and give away your free report. Do not just sit there and wait for people to sign up to your list. There are so many other ways to get your free product out there!

I have given you some ideas above but I also like to put a video on Youtube and link back to the free giveaway. I also like to mention the free giveaway in the video and make a call to action. You could even make a video mini-series which all lead to your giveaway landing page.

Don’t take your time releasing a viral marketing campaign as it is best to start doing this strategy straight from the start. Creating a viral marketing campaign is definitely a great strategy to generate traffic and sales are you new business. Why wait? Hit the market hard and fast and shock people with the quality of your content.
People often try these viral marketing strategies to generate traffic, however some fail to complete some important steps. Simple things like neglecting to have a plan or goal for your free giveaway is a showstopper from the beginning. The free giveaway is not just a free giveaway, it is a complete system. The system must guide your website visitor through each step and end up at the goal that you were aiming for. Otherwise what is the purpose for the freebie?
