Add a Domain Name to Your Cpanel Web Hosting

by mitz on January 19, 2010

When your are building a website from scratch, why bother with the difficult things like writing html and using ftp to upload a website to your server. Now way…I want to make websites to make money, not to show off my html skills and to make them look pretty! This is why I always get web hosting that has a cpanel. Cpanel is an easy way to see all the inside workings of your website with menus and icons. All you have to do is go to a section to do something. In this case we would click on the icon that says “add a domain” . Derr, how easy is that?

Then you are prompted to enter your domain name in and fill in a few details…I suggest you watch the video to see more information. This video is great for people that have hosting with unlimited domains because this shows you that you can just keep adding them.

By the way I have hostagtor hosting, as you will see in the video.

I am addicted to internet marketing and making money online. Who wouldn't want to live that life? I started out with one website as a hobby and now have over 20. Building websites and making money online is not that hard. You have to actually take action to make money...that is the biggest hurdle! :)

Yes they do but I like to have the name and the hosting on separate companies. I might be a bit paranoid! :)

I have been going through all of the information that you have, which is brilliant and very easy to follow. I haven’t been able to find information on how to transfer a website from one domain name to another. I have set up a customers website on a sub domain of mine while I built it, now want to transfer it to their domain name.

Example: http://building.mysite.com.au (this is the site I built their web site on) needs to move over to http://www.customers.com.au

Is there an easy way of doing this.

I guess there is an easy way ..You can buy a back up program for Wordpress.. Well worth the investment if you are going to do this a lot. Heres one http://pluginbuddy.com/purchase/backupbuddy/
I have also done it the manual way by exporting all the content and then importing it to the other site. As for the template you would have to upload that and any customized files..

Thanks for the video, it really explains how to add multiple domains to cpanel. Most of them think you can add only 1 domain.
