Webmasters are always asking me why their blog is not making money and to tell the truth, there are thousands of reasons. Every blog has its own personality, much like (most) humans you know, therefore making it a unique individual to analyze. The problem is that most people presume that a blogging business will fit into a clear category. The basic WordPress website business model can be a basis, but each blog grows its own personality as time goes on.

If you are wondering why your website isn’t converting, it will require some deep analysis from you to find the actual problem. Here are some ideas for you to start with.

#1. Your Content Sucks Anyway!

You are not really an authority on the subject and people can tell that you don’t know your stuff. You must stick to what you know because people are not stupid.

Only talk about what you know and find products to suit and you will sell more. Don’t step out of your league just to make a sale.

Some people ask me to look at their website to see why it is not making money, I get there and see they are trying to teach people to “make money online”. How ironic? This is when I am dumbstruck as to what to tell them.

Here they are trying to teach people how to make money online and then asking me why their website is not making money online? I might as well go and bang my head against a brick wall now!

#2. Affiliate Links in the Wrong Place

Sure if you have the right banner in the right position, at the right time, on the exact right page, then you are in luck!

Otherwise the best way to get sales is to add text affiliate links into your fantastic content! You must make sure the affiliate product is relevant to your content subject and it would be even better if your ultimate product could solve a problem.

There is a big myth about making loads of money from people clicking banners online. Sure you can place a targeted banner within the content and get sales, but the sidebar banners are a hit and miss game.

#3. Selling Rice to the Chinese

Are you trying to sell a product that your audience already has or knows about?

A great example is when Andy Bailey was launching his new Commentluv Premium plugin. I was excited and thought I would easily make sales but I didn’t! Not even one. The problem was that one of my main traffic sources of traffic was from guest posting on the Commentluv blog and blogs in that network. If I wanted to make sales I would have to get traffic from somewhere else as these visitors were well aware of Andy’s great product and most likely had already purchased it from Andy himself.

No worries though, as I just continued with what did sell. No need to think my business model was wrong as it had already proven itself over and over.

#4. Fresh Content with Goals

Always creating fresh content and displaying this as a feature on the front page really beings in the new sales. Let’s face it, if you do not keep exposing your links regularly, how can you make sales?

You should always mention a product or have a goal on each post you create. Also I suggest you do this manually as you go so you do not have to worry about plugins not showing your affiliate links. Of course I use Plugins now as I have too many websites to concentrate on individually. One example is the EazyAzon Plugin for creating Amazon links.

#5. Revive the Good Pages

If you find a great page that makes sales on your blog, link to it internally as often as you can without looking obvious, leading your visitors to this proven sales page. Also optimize these proven money makers and keep them up to date with current information. Recently I sent my list an article along with a video tutorial about how to earn extra money by improving and tweaking old valuable pages.

#6. Change Your Ways – Not Making Money

If a product is not selling for you, do not beat the life out of that strategy until it works, move on to something else. When I use a new affiliate link and make one sale from one post, this is a sign for me. I then see how I can promote the product further.

From my experience, if a product does not sell easily then it is wrong for you and your website. Of course try a bit of tweaking to get sales but be ready to move on quickly. Find the products that click with your traffic.

#7. Too Many Options and Exits

When you create a page or post with a certain goal in mind, you should be fully aware of all the exists that are available for your website visitors. Examine the outgoing links and compare their value to you. For example you might have an internal link leading to another page on your blog where there is another goal. Or you might have a link to an affiliate product. Links leaving your page that go to other websites that do not have a purpose should be minimal, especially if the page was created with another goal in mind. The moral of the story is to think about what you are doing. Think about what you want and what you are trying to achieve.

 Why do you think your blog in not making money?

Firstly, I have written an article about how I make money online previously but I did not want to add this information to that old post. Although the information is valid still, I thought that some readers might not revisit an old post and I did not want them to miss this stuff. This is a crazy business, building WordPress Websites full time.

Now even though I make money online, it is not all about the money, because if you think this way you will burn your audience. I never push a sale as I hate pushy sales people! I like to get involved with affiliate programs that are so good they sell themselves!

I probably shouldn’t be releasing this information but I know that there are a million ways for me to make money online and I always keep my best secrets up  my sleeve. (sorry about that!)

The Best Computer Software Affiliate Program

I have mentioned Spotmau software before but never said anything further. I have mentioned that it was easy to sell but that’s it. I am shocked at the progress I have made with selling this software and it is only selling on about 4 pages. I feel like flooding the computer related websites with this product as I think they know how to sell to people. Anyway Spotmau gave me some copies of the software I am selling now and I am testing them at the moment. Go and Join Now if you have a computer related website.

The screenshot you see above is basically for two months. November is when it started to click for me. Now I can make $100 in a day from this software. Not all the time though but this is just the beginning! I am pretty excited about this one!

Selling Hostgator Web Hosting

When I showed you guys the real life WordPress website case study I was using Commission Junction to create affiliate links for a site I had made that sold web hosting. Well that was fine but I realized that most of my sales were Hostgator web hosting so I decided to go through them directly to earn commissions.

It was a risk though, as Cj.com pays $100 straight for a sale, whereas Hostagor has a sliding scale. Therefore for the first month I only got $50 when I could have had $100. (Ouch!)  On the second month I got to the $75 mark. If I had invested more time in this I probably could have done it but…I am slack. Then in November I just scraped it in for 11 sales to get $100 a pop. I still have odd sales of hosting in Commission Junction too as there are other hosting companies like Fatcow and Bluehost that I still get through there.

I didn’t make 21 sales but I did make 11 which will land me $1100.

Advantages to Selling Hosting Directly Through Hostgator

1. You get to see what actual page the sale came from. All you have to do is hover over where it says link. If you press on it you will be taken to the page where the sale came from. This gave me a big fat clue as to where to concentrate my efforts to get sales. CJ.com will just tell you the website name only. (unless you create separate SID’s for each link)
2. You can see the actual domain name associate with the sale. This is highly valuable as you can see the finished products.
3. You can see if a commission is valid in Hostgator but in CJ.com it just disappears.

The screenshot below shows the details of my sales through Hostgator. I just got 11 sales which took me to the $100 level. Obviously the best way to sell something is to use it yourself and I have been with Hostgator for about 4 years now.

Making Money Online With Recurring Commissions

Again, I have mentioned how to find products on Clickbank with recurring payments and also how to keep making money from your blog even after it is sold. These are both great ways to make money online and it is also excellent if you want to do less sales and still earn money. So I am going to mention my favorite affiliate program again. Elegant themes of course!It is easy to sell and this you get a recurring commission if the person renews for the year. The program is so packed full of value that you would be nuts not to be a member.

Below you can see a screenshot of my total earnings for the year so far and I am hoping to get that commission next year on top of the new sales I make. Lets image that figure at 10,000 base for the year and growing. That is what I plan to do!

If you are a website builder (like building for other people) the Elegant Themes package is only $88 for a developers license and that includes all .psd files too..  Imagine how professional you could look when you build a website for someone using this theme collection.

That is just another way to make money from Elegant Themes. You do not even have to sell this program to make money from it as this is an essential “tools of the trade” item you will need. I would always include Elegant themes in my Internet Marketing Toolbox.

Ok I hope this information gives you some food for thought. Even though my primary income is from Adsense, there’s no reason to not experiment with other opportunities.

Wouldn’t it be great to turn blogging into an endless passive income stream? Of course it would! Who would say no to that?

Creating a blog or website is really hard work, especially if you are building a big business or authority website. Every blogger I know will tell you that blogging is not easy money, but does become easier if you automate the system. Also the bigger the website gets the more income you get.

The thing is, this is all great, but what about when you sell the WordPress website? Can you still make money from this site even when you have sold it?

Yes of course you can but of it depends on how you make money in your blogging career in the first place.

How to create a blog with the future in mind

• Watch out for products that can become standalone with their earnings.
• Spend more time on testing and tweaking when it comes to products that have future earnings.

Products and advertising that does not create income for the future

Here are the 4 biggest examples of monetization methods that you might have on your website that do not create income of the future.

1. Amazon.com
2. AdSense
3. EBay Partner network
4. Hostgator (but I can give you a 25% discount with coupon code MITZSave25)

Of course there are many more examples that I can add to the list, however you get the picture, hopefully. These programs pay you for either each click or sale that you make stop there is no possible chance that any of this income will be recurring. I have also published articles about recurring income from Clickbank but they do not stack up compared to the options I will mention below.

Creating income that will last

You are probably wondering how it can be possible to make sales on your blog, sell your entire blog to someone else, and then continue to receive commissions from sales. This is quite simple. All you have to do is sell products that have a recurring income.

For example, if I sell a product and it has a monthly or yearly subscription fee, the program sometimes gives me commission for each fee that is paid. So if I sell a membership to the Chris Farrell website, which is approximately $29 a month, I will continually receive $15 a month for as long as the person stays in the membership. This is great but not a permanent thing as people only stay so long in a membership site.

There are even better ways to make a commission. What about this one…?

Two or more Tier Commissions

You are going to sell a product on your website anyway, so why not get a two Tier commission out of it?

What is a two Tier commission?

Just say you are an affiliate for a product and you get 30% commission for each sale. That might be the end for some products, but when the product has two tiers the commissions can go further. For example you might have the opportunity to refer other affiliates to the program. When the affiliate that you referred makes a sale you get 5% commission. This can be seriously amazing if you refer the right person who ends up selling the products like crazy.

Examples of Two Tier commission products

Logo nerds

This is a professional company where you can buy a fantastic logo for your website to $27. If you visit the logo nerds website you will also see that they have an amazing affiliate program that is just seriously generous.

Refer just 5 logo sales a day, and you will pocket an easy $1000 month
Refer just 10 logo sales a day, and you will pocket an easy $2000 month
Refer just 15 logo sales a day, and you will pocket an easy $3000 month

One thing about this affiliate program is that the cookies are tracked for life and if a person keeps buying logos from this company then you will keep getting a 25% commission.

The other thing about this affiliate program is that you can refer another Webmaster to sell this product and receive 5% commission on all of their sales.

Spotmau

This is more for the tech sites but I have to mention this product as it is one of those affiliate programs that just sell itself. This company is great at converting the customers for you but it also offers a two Tier commission if you sign up through Shareasale.com.  So if you have a tech site go to Spotmau and check out the options for becoming an affiliate. If you want to get the 5% two tier commission you need to sign in and through Shareasale.

Studio Press

Studio Press WordPress themes from Copyblogger Media also offer a two tier commission. To get this you will have to signup at Shareasale but you can see more details here.

If you refer others through the links provided with the ShareASale affiliate program, you can earn $1 per signup as an Affiliate and 5% of their future earnings.

Examples of recurring commissions

Elegant Themes

If you hang out on this blog you will know that I often recommend buying the elegant themes package. Not only do you get 60 or more professional, fantastic looking WordPress themes, but you also get amazing support which money can’t buy.

Elegant themes no longer offer a two tier commission system, however they do offer a recurring payments system. This means that you will receive the commission again if the person you referred renews their membership.

So let’s have a look at my sales for last month:

As you can see I sold 15 elegant themes packages, so therefore in August 2012, if any of those 15 people renew their membership, I will receive the commission once again.

Elegant themes membership means that new themes get added in every month and the yearly membership is only $39. If you are building WordPress websites it pays to be a member of this site.

Aweber

Have you ever wondered why people are always recommending Aweber for e-mail management?

Well there is a good reason for that. It is not only a great company; it also offers affiliate is a 30% recurring commission on all sales. So if you refer a person to Aweber then you will receive 30% commission on what they spend. Just remember that this e-mail management membership has a monthly fee.

We have all heard the saying “ the money is in the list”, well it is and every website needs an email management system if they want to survive in this business. So does Aweber sell? Yes of course it does!

Create viral giveaways to make money

When you have a blog or website you should give away as many free reports as humanly possible! I know this sounds silly but think about it? A viral marketing campaign is far more valuable for sales than it is traffic. I do not need people to visit by my blog for me to make money.

You give away reports with your affiliate links in them…This time is really doesn’t matter if they are recurring products or not. The only thing that matters is that your free report is floating around the internet available for anyone to download at any time.. In this case it is just a bonus if you have recurring affiliate links in the report.

Therefore when you sell your website, these reports will still be out on the Internet with your links contained in them. You will be surprised at the sales that can come in from a simple report.

Conclusion

I know I have listed some fantastic affiliate programs here, and believe me it is not that easy to find programs that actually sell themselves. If you do decide to become an affiliate for any of these products I would really appreciate it if you used my link. IT will not cost you anything but will contribute to my future retirement package!

Just remember that not all recurring 2 tier commission affiliate programs are worth promoting and they might not suit your niche.

Anyway guys, the real moral of the story is to plan your business and make sure you can still be making money from a WordPress website even after it is SOLD!

You’ve spent a lot of time and money on your website, you’ve made sure you’re ranking at the top of the search engine results pages for your chosen keyphrases and all you’ve got to do now is sit back and watch the cash starting pouring in, but your website isn’t converting.

What if the cash never comes? What if you’ve spent all this time and money and your website isn’t actually producing any conversions? Here are a few things that could be contributing to your poor conversion rate:

6 Reasons Why Your Website Isn’t Converting

#1.  Wrong keywords

Keyword research can be very tricky and you need to make sure you know what you’re doing. When your website isn’t converting you need a careful balance between keywords with a high search volume and keywords that are relevant to your landing pages. One common mistake a lot of new website owners make is just targeting the terms that are going to bring in the traffic. Statistically speaking it’s actually the longer tail keywords with the lower search volumes that are more likely to produce a conversion. If your website isn’t converting go back to basics, redo your keyword research and make sure you’re actually ranking for the words that are applicable to you and your website. Have a look at your competitors, ask you mom or your Gran (or someone who isn’t quite so tech savvy), what they’d search for if they were looking for your product. Run some PPC campaigns so you can get an instant idea of what keyterms are going to get you conversions and start optimising those terms in the organic listings.

#2.  Onsite copy

Let’s start at the beginning, if you’re sure you are ranking for the right terms then the most likely reason you’re not seeing conversions will be because of your onsite copy. Yes you might be selling a very technical or a very dry service or product but that doesn’t mean you have to send your site traffic into a coma. The technical description might appeal to someone later in the buying cycle but you need to capture people at the start of the buying cycle too so they’ll come back to you when they’re ready to make a purchase. Don’t bombard them with an overload of information, keep it simple and too the point, use bullet points to get technical information and drop downs to add in any other technical information that you can’t shorten. You can always add extra pages if needed rather than trying to cram everything onto one page. If your website isn’t converting always try new things.

#3.  Shouting about your USP

If your website isn’t converting, are you sure your traffic knows why they should be spending money with you? Everyone has a unique selling point (USP) and you need to make sure yours is blatantly obvious. If you’re the cheapest shout about it, if you offer free after care or free delivery make sure your site traffic knows this. This is not the time to be modest, what ever you do that isn’t industry standard you need to make a song and dance about it. You need to give your site traffic a reason to spend their cash with you especially because they know it only takes a couple of clicks and they can be checking out your competitors.

#4.  Check analytics

Look at the stats your website is producing. Your Google Analytics account is going to be able to tell you exactly what pages people are leaving your site from, the pages with a below average time on site and where they’re dropping out of the conversion process. Make sure you’ve got your goals and funnels set up properly so you know you’re looking at accurate data. It can be a very big job to tackle the whole website in one go so start with those poorly performing pages, are they relevant to the key term they’re ranking for? Do they give the user the information they’re looking for in the most efficient format? Do you have a more suitable page that should be ranking for that term?

#5.  User testing – Website isn’t converting

Spend some time and cash and get some user testing done. This doesn’t have to cost a fortune and it can be a great investment. If there’s a problem with your website that isn’t immediately obvious the chances are you’re not going to spot it. You’re so used to staring at your own site you become immune to any flaws or problems after a while so it’s always good to get a fresh pair of eyes to get an unbiased opinion of your site. It might be something as simple as the ‘add to cart’ button not being prominent enough or they’re not entirely sure what they’re getting for their money.

#6.  Competitor research

Don’t just sit there when your website isn’t converting, do some spying on your competitors and find out what they’re doing. They may not be ranking as well as you but they might be getting better conversions. Look at the design of their site, what is it that makes their site different from yours? Obviously you can’t outright copy their site but you might be able to take away a few ideas. Look at what their pages are optimised for and how relevant the landing page is for that term. Don’t forget to have a look through their back links and check to see if they’re getting any powerful links you could be utilising in your campaign (this might not necessarily help with your conversion but it’s always good to know where you can find some good links), you might also find if their links are sending them some very industry relevant traffic.

After running through these points you should soon start to see your conversions increasing and before you know it the cash will be rolling in.

What do you when your website isn’t converting?

People are often guarded about how they make money online and how much they actually make, however I see things in a very different way. Creating wealth has always been a hobby of mine and every time I  look at something I see the value in it and immediately start thinking about what I can do with it. My nephew always says to me “it’s all about the money”, but it’s not about that, it’s about the challenge. It is really about achieving something.

When I started making websites there was a new excitement in my veins. Building WordPress websites from scratch and making them successful is like an addiction. The fact that building WordPress websites makes money does not excite me as much as all the other things that it brings to my life. I actually really enjoy this work and I am just lucky it pays well.

When I first started out I was curious as to how people could make money online? It is all a bit unbelievable at first and even to this day when I tell people what I do they do not really understand. Now I am actually going to tell you how I make money with WordPress websites.

Unfortunately I do not believe that I need to tell you how much money I am making because I could simply lie about that. The thing is, I do make money from my websites that I have created. I do not write for people or work on Elance, I make every cent from blogging and I started with nothing!

Well I started out by buying the cheapest hosting package from Hostgator which allowed me to have one domain. Later I upgraded to unlimited hosting and my business grew! Now I have a few hosting plans but I still laugh when I think about how I nearly didn’t take the step to buy web hosting. Imagine if I had thought that $4.95 a month was too much to spend?

How I Make Money online with WordPress Websites

I cannot even remember when I started to build websites, but I think it was about four or five years ago. I started out with one website that provided information for free. I did not even know that you could make money from websites at that stage. Later on I added a few different forms of monetization. The further I got into building websites, the more I liked it. I started to build more websites.

Most of those websites were a waste of time and some have died as others flourished and needed more attention. I still make a few websites every now and then, but only invest major time in them if I see some potential signs. If I do not get the sign, I let them die.

Adsense

Google Adsense was really the first way that I started to make money online with. I really had no idea that anything else existed and I thought that AdSense was great anyway. I created a full-time income from Google AdSense, enough to work from home, and live completely off my websites. In the beginning I thought that Google AdSense was easy and you just slapped it on your website and made money. I now realize that it is quite technical if you want to get the most money out of your ads. There are so many tweaks and customizations you can do to earn more money and increase your Adsense click through rate.

Obviously with Adsense SEO techniques play a big part as the keywords determine which add will show on your page. After that, Adsense ad code is simply pasted into your html code of your website.

Adsense is a very precise method of making money as it all depends on what keywords your visitor came into your site with. If advertisers target that keyword then you get paid better. A sneaky way to find out what the real going rate is for advertisers is to setup a campaign in Adwords and see how much particular keywords cost to bid on.

I do make over $5,000.00 a month from Adsense but instead of increasing my earnings, I have turned to other methods of money making. That means that I might start out with Adsense, but when I work out what is actually selling on a particular page I will replace the Adsense with either affiliate products or sometimes my own product. I wrote an article about making money from your blog even after it is sold. This is my true path.

Amazon

I have just started with learning to make money online using Amazon. It is very easy for me to try something and see if it works and has potential as I have fully established websites that I can sell on. This is what I did with the Amazon links. I added them into already established websites, although not too many because I did not have much time. The screen shot below shows my first Amazon check and it was not too hard to make that money, so now I believe that Amazon it is a great way to make money online. Especially now that I have a new plug-in for WordPress, EasyAzon.

I have placed Amazon links on Tech related websites so the content does relate to a physical product. Amazon does not work so well on a website like this.

Clickbank

I did not start to make money online with Clickbank until I decided to make a WordPress website about making WordPress websites. Many of the products that I wanted to sell on this website were from Clickbank and as I already have an income from Adsesne, I had ample time to experiment with ways to make money online using Clickbank. As you can see I have a picture of my latest check for $940.00. This is not my first check that I have received from click bank, but it is the first one that I have taken a photo of. LOL

I would have to say that SEOPressor is my best selling product there on Clickbank as it is a simple, yet amazing WordPress Onpage SEO Plugin.

I had to raise my payment threshold on Clickbank because I was getting charged about $30 to deposit the cheque because it is US dollars. I also have to wait 30 days for it to be cleared so you shouldn’t count on all your payments coming in quick. Also the exchange rate can rip into you or make you a profit!

Ebay

I do make money with eBay but it is not because I am trying, it is because of old links that I placed a few years ago. I still get a regular monthly payment directly to my bank account, however I do not like eBay compare it to other affiliates. Even Adsense pays me more than 16 cents a click! By the way I have got $40 for one click from Adsense. That is the best I have had and my eyes nearly popped out of my head! I have also had $20, $15, and so on. I really do not know how they could possibly afford to do that, but that’s just what happens sometimes.

Individual Affiliates

By far my best individual affiliate is Elegant Themes as it is really hard to resist their offer as it provides such absolute value! If you have a website in the blogging niche, then you should definitely start selling this product. (First buy it through my link though and tell them Mitz sent you)  This is one of those affiliates that will help you make money from your blog even after it is sold.

The next best individual affiliate would be Aweber, as again this service is very hard to resist. If you are serious about building a list you will eventually need this service.

Make money online selling Ebooks

Yes I sell Ebooks. I have been selling Ebooks longer than I have been making money using Adsense. A long time ago I created an e-book and I sold it for $5.95. I actually sold about 10 a week and I thought that this was amazing! All I did was go and set up a buy now button, not that I knew how back in those days, and people started pressing on it and buying. That was how simple it was. Now I have a few more E books that I sell, and every day I get e-mails from PayPal stating that I have funds.

I definitely recommend that everyone should write an e-book. It might take you a couple of days, or it might take you a week, but in the end the job is done. You can sell that e-book over and over and over again, that’s what’s great about it!

These Ebooks are sold on my websites, however I still give away free reports as well. I do have a few listed in Clickbank but the sales on my websites outweigh that by far!

Experiments

I cannot help myself, I love to experiment with everything. I have tried so many methods, plugins, affiliate programs, software, and more. I have listed my website resources for my future reference and yours. In the last year or so I have landed on the ground with my tools I use to create guaranteed website success. They are in no way magic and will not exempt you from hard work, but they might save a bit of time. I have even tried article spinning software. (shock horror!). Here is a WordPress website case study that I am using for an example on how to make money online.

Selling Text links

Yes I have sold a link or two, but I do not do it very often so I wouldn’t bother contacting me. Of course selling links can be easy money for me but I hate the emails going back and forth to organize it. The problem is that people want in content links and certain pages and no longer want a link on your home page or sidebar. I would rather accept a well written guest post and give them 2 “dofollow” links than sell one link for $100. The whole process annoys me severely!

Conclusion to how I make money online

I always knew that I would make money online, but I did not realize that it would be a full-time income, and that I would enjoy it so much. It does not feel like work when you are actually dying to get out of bed and get on with it. What kind of job is that?

After concentrating on making money using Adsense and first succeeding before moving onto other monetization methods, I now realize that the process for all is the same. To start a business and make money from clickbank, you would still need to build a website of some sort and build up some traffic. This is what I did with both AdSense and Clickbank. Of coarse there are always other affiliates on the side, like commission junction, and other individual affiliates. After a while money just comes from all sorts of places. I get cheques coming every now and then from lonely links that I placed two years ago. That is the amazing thing about this whole process. Everything you do on the Internet could work towards making you money.

Finding the time to listen to Internet Marketing podcasts is easy. You can simply download the podcasts to listen to them later. What about filling your Mp3 or ipod up with podcasts and listen to them while cooking or even gardening…I also sometimes hook up my laptop to the big screen TV in the lounge room, and watch videos while I prepared dinner. There is no point sitting at your computer listening to pod casts and watching YouTube videos when you could be doing something else. You could even wear your iPod outside and go and play a game of cricket with your kids.

I’m pretty sure that everyone can find time to listen to Internet marketing pod casts. This business is about using your time effectively and learning this way is the most effective thing you can do.

It was three years ago, when one day, I finally decided to change my life by selling my real world business for a dream to make money online. Physical objects

Obviously you are going to need things like a laptop computer, an Internet connection, some basic software, basic computer skills, and so on.

Believe in yourself

If you do not believe that you can do this and be successful then you should go and get a job. You need the confidence and the belief to keep you going when you get knocked down. Making money online is not always an easy path, but when you get closer to the end, you will be rewarded.

Perseverance

When you get knocked down you need perseverance so you can get back up, time after time. When you fail is not a good idea to give up, because the more you fail, the closer you are to success. Focus

I chose to earn a living online by building successful WordPress website’s. I also create information products, perform Onpage SEO and Offpage SEO backlinking for all of my websites. I discovered that all of these methods create a solid business that will produce income and grow over the years. By creating websites, I not only have made money from them, I have created virtual real estate and now I have some very valuable property to sell.

Using Google Analytics can be difficult for most people and now I’m just going to show you how to find your website’s highest paying Adsense keywords using the information supplied. This is no trick or secret it’s just a little bit difficult as Google Analytics is such a detailed program. There are so many little button and links to press on so please follow this tutorial carefully.

Steps to find the highest paying AdSense keywords:

1.  Go to your Google Analytics account and click on the website you want to investigate.

2.  Click on the view report link.

3.  In the left column, press on the content link. See the screen shot below.

4.  Another menu will appear as shown below. Click on the AdSense link.

5.  Again another menu will appear, click on Top AdSense content. See the screen shot below.

6.  Now a list of URLs will appear with the AdSense earnings next to them. This shows you which page your website earns the most.

7.  Click on one URL that you wish to investigate. See the screen shot below.

8.  Now you will see a complete breakdown of the AdSense earnings from this page on your website.

9.  In the screen shot below I have circled a small box. It has the word none in it and a drop-down Arrow.

10.  Press on the drop-down Arrow to see a menu.

11.  Choose keywords from the menu.

12.  The next screen will show you the highest paying AdSense keywords for that particular post. It also shows how much money that keyword has made you and a number of other details that I cannot show.

What other information can you learn?

1. You can see which individual keyword is the highest paying AdSense keyword for that post.
2. You can see how many impressions that keyword contributed to your post.
3. You can see how many clicks on AdSense ads that keyword contributed to.
4. You can also see the usual statistics, though CTR,CPM,and so on.

1. You can create a page and make it a static front page instead of having posts.
2. You can make a page and choose the sales page template.
3. You can choose to show the header, ads, and links, or remove them for the individual page.
4. You can nofollow and noindex any page by ticking a box. For example your thank you page with your download link.
5. You can password protect a page. For example your product page.

Later I changed my theme to Thesis, another great WordPress theme, however the conversions dropped dramatically. Therefore I had to remodel Thesis to look like Socrates. I got Thesis because I am a Geek but Socrates is a must for non technical people.

I am completely exhausted tonight but extrememly excited at the same time. My brain is running at a million miles an hour with ideas on what I can do with my already exsisting internet busineses. I have been spending the last three days mesmurized by the big gurus in the internet marketing world. OMG… Yes. I attended the World Traffic Summit at the Gold coast!!!!

The founders of the World Internet Summit, Brett Mcfall and Tom Hua were there, along with their hand picked lineup of spetacualr speakers. I do not even remember having a dull moment. In fact I did not like having breaks, I just wanted to get on with the information.

The various speakers all had different ways to get traffic to an internet business and different ways to make money. I was totally amazed that some of the old school methods such as article marketing and backlinking were still some of the major common denominators.  Some speakers, however, made their millions by leveraging only social media such as Facebook and Twitter. This is what I call the new school methods.

Mili Ponce and Paul O’Mahony, the Social Media Experts, conducted a World Traffic challenge where all attendees had to signup as an affiliate and promote their link to people persuading them to optin to get free gifts. With great tips from Milli and Paul throughout the weekend I managed to come in second place. I cannot tell you how nervous I was standing on that stage with these gurus, the other winners, and all those people in the audience looking at me..
