Get your Blog pinging everytime you make a post

When you make a new post it is important to ping your blog. It is so important that this feature is built into WordPress. What it does is let other websites know that you have updated your website. Why wait until someone finds out your blog has a new post, why not tell the world!

To find the pinging settings in WordPress go to Settings>Then press on writing. Scroll down to the bottom. To use pinging your blog must not be private, it must be shared with the Search engines. To Change the privacy settings go to settings>then privacy.

Here is my ping list that I paste into the Settings in WordPress…

You can also get a list from www.pingler.com They are a free pinging service. But in WordPress we are doing it automatically.

I am addicted to internet marketing and making money online. Who wouldn't want to live that life? I started out with one website as a hobby and now have over 20. Building websites and making money online is not that hard. You have to actually take action to make money...that is the biggest hurdle! :)

There’s nothing really more important in promoting your blog but advertisement. This new info would save me from going all the way around the bush to find what I am looking for.

@Danny Stampel: I definitely agree with you that its the goal of each person here. In addition, blogging saves life. Why do I say so? It’s because people are given the chance to be heard and to express themselves without standing in front of so many people.

Good stuff Mitz – I’ve updated my list (from Jack Humphey’s fridaytrafficreport.com) to include several links on yours I didn’t have. You have to be careful when doing this by the way, since if you have the same service twice you’re setting yourself up for a ban.

Speaking of bans I second your Max BlogPress notion – entirely necessary for avoiding bans if you plan to do any edits to your posts after you posts them.

What I find gets me quicker Google, Yahoo and MSN notification results than pinging though is simply linking to a new post from twitter. This is where these search engines seem to look the most for new links right now. I do remember the days when pinging reigned supreme though.

P.S. Your sig mentions you have 20 websites – are they all regularly updated blogs like this one and if so who do you hire to maintain them all, or are you just that “on the ball”? Also how is your dream of the internet lifestyle coming along, or are you there?

20 websites:::: Yes I am crazy…I did have a VA but he always said he was working when he wasn’t ..Some blogs need more attention than others. I jump from one blog to the other but I am getting another VA….anyway I have writers for other blogs… Regular ones that are the best..

My blogs are mainly info stuff like this…Solid big websites..I also have a few products on Clickbank and mini sites for that…A few forums…(not keen on starting them off though)…A few affilaite websites ( i was going to give you an example but I cannot remember the names). LOL I am away ATM.

I make an uncontrollable amount of money as it just comes from all different sources…

I go away often..and take my laptop..thats all I need to run my business..People are jealous that I do not have to get out of bed and go to work…I can have a day off when ever I want…etc etc…
Yes I am living the internet lifestyle…

I count myself very lucky1

(I couldn’t watch the clip because it’s probably on youtube and youtube is blocked where I am now.
