When submitting articles to article directories in order to gain backlinks to your website, why not make sure that they are “dofollow” links first. All webmasters know that a “dofollow” link is far more beneficial than a “nofollow” link. Therefore if you are going to all the effort of submitting articles you should first see if that particular article directory is in fact “dofollow”.
I am disappointed that Articlebase is not on the list as I have submitted articles there in the past and have gained loads of traffic from there. This will not stop me from submitting my articles there but it does sway me to find other places that will share the link juice from my own article. Websites with link juice and traffic are what we need!

Do follow sites are better than No follow sites in many ways. Submitting your articles to Do follow article directories will help you to share links with that site and may lead to your site ranking higher.

Great list of dofollow article directories. I just wanted to add a PR7 article directory that I think not many people know about it (I found out about it very recently) Its called thefreelibrary.com. They approve articles quite fast as well unlike ezine and some other directories. Thanks.

Great list! However, in my case i really don’t care if it’s no-follow or do-follow. But still, it would be great if it’s do-follow. No-follow is as much as useful as do-follow, in cases for article directories though. As long as i’m generating traffic from that site, i’m fine with it.

Do-follow links are quite difficult to find. And I’ve got stressed in searching blogs,articles that are Do-follows with high PR. Anyway, I’m thankful that you shared us some Do-follow sites and high PR. Thanks a lot for help! These could be helpful to us.

I use several of them, and like you I´m disappointed in Articlebase and there use of javascript on article links.!
Google don´t even register the links in my webmastertool anymore, don´t know if I still get the link juice or if that´s gone also… :s

This link directory / article database also allows links and articles in english and is a PR 3 site.
