When you are building a WordPress Website, or any website for that matter, you should always include Google Analytics for tracking statistics. Google Analytics will let you know where your visitors came from, how long they stayed, and where they went when they left your website. Basically you can find out all the information you need to know about your website. Google Analytics will even tell you stats about the highest paying AdSense keywords, helping you optimize them for the best results. You can also check your website’s bounce rate on Google Analytics. This will help you improve your website.
Some WordPress themes have a space to paste the Google Analytics code into, however if your theme does not then it is very easy to do manually. This video below shows you where to find the Google Analytics code and how to embed it into a WordPress website.. I take the easy way out and paste the code into a text widget in the sidebar. It doesn’t matter where you put the Google code because it will be invisible anyway.

Thanks to you Mitz, my bounce rate is down…BIG TIME! And I’m able to target the pages most frequented. Analytics is very beneficial for any AD campaign.

There are also plugins these days that allow you to just put in your analytics ID, no code necessary, though pasting the code in is easy enough.

I always use Google analytics. I have seen Piwik but Google goes further and is very in-depth..Very difficult too, when you dig down deeper.
You can do it yourself if you are do not have any cash available to spend, but hiring someone is a big load off your lob list.
