What did I buy this month?
I thought this would be an interesting subject to share. I buy products just like everyone else, maybe even more than the average person as it this is part of my business.
Thesis Awesome: I wanted to Jaz up my Thesis theme and decided to buy a Thesis skin.This skin package is awesome and I am trying it out on a new blog I have. I will release this soon and you will be able to see Thesis Awesome in action.
Commentluv: Well this one was a “no brainer”… I had to have this as this is just one of those must have tools for every internet marketer.
WPsubscribers: This WordPress is amazing and I love all the extra features. Between this plugin and Commentluv, I have disabled over 10 now redundant plugins.
WSO’s: Warior forum special offers. Hmm I am not sure why I buy these as I have not seen anything good for a long time. Maybe it’s just me?
WordPress Website Case Study
Remember when I shared my WordPress Website Case Study with you all? Well I hope you remember the ugly theme I had because it is no longer there. I could not bare to have such an ugly site so I changed it to the Inreview Elegant theme which is an amazing theme. It just makes me look like a pro. Ha ha. 
I guess you are wondering if the site is still making money? Hmm.. I had a road block and only made 5 sales on the site but I am committed to making more sales this month. I will try to hold myself to some promotion. I have a funny feeling the sales were coming from an article I placed on my other website. Therefore I am going to setup a Google Analytics goal to see what is going on.

Please tell us all a little bit about yourself?
Ans: I am a computer professional working as a consultant in the industry for almost 10 years. I am passionate about technology and like to test all new gadgets. That’s inspired me to start my first blog. Now I am working on taking a next step and setting up my second blog makewebworld.com.
Why do you use WordPress for your Content management system?
Ans: It’s one of the best easy to use CMS. I started with blogger but at the end I selected wordpress because of extensive available plugins, SEO flexibilities and easy to setup on self hosted blog and I still feel it’s one of the best decision.
Are you making money from blogging yet?
Ans: Yes, a bit. Makewebword is just a 2 month old baby and it’s still in growing phase. So I am looking for more in terms of steady the ship rather than earning currently.
What lessons have you learnt that might be beneficial for other bloggers just starting out?
Ans: One thing which I have learnt is if you are serious about the blogging than we need to take it as a business rather than just a hobby. Every business require a investment and it will pay off later-on. I have seen many people starting with zero and trying to earn (can be done, but takes extra time), I will only say start with a fixed budget, don’t cross that but don’t start with zero.
What benefits have you seen from guest posting?
Ans: It is really good, Makewebworld is a small baby and it’s really hard to concur SEO in this time frame. My blog has seen a steady traffic due to guest posts. I already have guest posts in many premium sites like Comluv, WordPress Website Builder and Problogger.
This is also one of the great ways to know new people and make new relationships. I have written about it in my post Guest Post – Few Things which you can do with it.
What is the most important resource you use in your blogging business?
Ans: The most important resource I would say is my reading habit. I like to read new blogs, new idea’s, books. It’s really important for flowing the new idea’s for posts and giving a freshness in writing.
Is the idea of blogging a life changing experience for you?
Ans: Yes it is, I never thought I will do this, but just one day come across blogger and started a free blog. After seeing the response I end up creating my self-hosted blogs. It is still a life changing experience to see people enjoying your posts with no boundaries and able to convey your thought to the world.
Do you think you need a passion for your niche or a passion for blogging in general?
Ans: I would say passion for blogging, If you have that you will be able to find your niche and blog about it.
Which WordPress plugin would you choose if you could only use one?
Ans: If I have to choose one I will choose CommentLuv+, I know it’s just came out, but with that price and functionality, it’s a steal.

Wow, now I’m inspired to create a guest post. But I have to spend and give more time on research to produce high quality content. Also, I was able to visit Sanjeev’s blog too and I also learn a lot from it. Both of you guys are awesome bloggers.
I looked at the Thesis Skin Gallery about six themes of the Thesis Awesome and I must say I do not like them very much graphically
Perhaps, however, they are very usable, I think.
CommentLuv is just fabulous instead.
Commentluv seems to be top commentator widget. WPsubscribers is somehow new for me, but really interested to check out. For Sanjeev, great lesson for bloggers. i am inspired.

Your website builder news is quite interesting for me because I have read a lot of post today regarding wordpress and I realize that yours provided me with something different. There are different reasons why an individual is using the wordpress but there is only a single reason why they have chosen wordpress as their main tool, this is because of the great benefits that they are getting from it.

WPSubscribers looks really interesting, does it come with instructions as I think it will need to go on my wish list? The worst thing that I find about Plugins is that they often do not come with instructions and there are quite a few things that I am not game to touch when setting them up! I just found your How to set up SEO Quake video – awesome, I’ve just downloaded the free version to try it out. Buying CommentLuv is definitely a no-brainer. I have downloaded it but haven’t had a chance to unwrap it yet!
Was your case study site the one with all the products on the first page with the stars or am I getting mixed up with another site? ‘Cause it sure looks different now! Very smick.

Yes my case study had all the products on the page and it was ugly..I installed an Elegant theme..
The WP subscribers is a bit difficult but there are videos. I guess it is very detailed more than anything.
This is the third blog that I have come across which is boasting about the merits of the commentluv plugin. I was told that it is still on sale for $40. I think I really have to get my hands on that before it’s too late. Thanks for this amazing post.

Thanks for the introduction to Sanjeev. I can certainly relate to his experience of being a new blogger. Starting from zero definitely takes a lot of time and effort. If one wants to do that, think of it as a long challenge. If you’re determined, you can make something out of nothing.
